Velvet love with sheer puff sleeves

Is this one of my favourite reworks to date? I couldn't possibly say... (but maybe)

The original Frank Usher 80s velvet tank top was lovely but also a little difficult to style. It's a tank, but it's velvet? But it's not really dressy enough for 'nice top over jeans' look?

Don't worry, I've given it a makeover! Using deadstock fabric (which means it was going to waste by a production line/ not in use, until it got rescued!) I created custom sleeve pattern pieces to fit the top perfectly, and made these dramatic puff sleeves to give the top some OOMF! Now it's perfect layered under dresses, layered over a patterened long sleeve, or by itself for the DRAMA.

Length shoulder to hem: 23"

Sleeve length armpit to cuff: 13.5"
